9:05 drop and roll up to near start line. 9:10 roll out.
w/kg as noted earlier.
Regrouping/soft pedal at top of climbs, easy on the descent
After second time up Box Hill climb, pull off after you cross it and we'll take 5 minute breather.
Messed up the roll-out somehow. Did get a glimpse of Anne on the leaderboard 1st time up Box Hill, but that was it. Will try harder next time;-)
Akk, I soft pedaled rolling out for about ten minutes watching for other riders. What's your Zwift name and can look for "other riders near" prior to roll out. Kept watching for other riders, thought one may have been you but that rider ended up ahead?
Would be great to have more riders join in.
Thanks for leading Anne.
I'll be there next week.
Spread the word.
Best way to "see" each other is wear the same jersey and add NFS to your name. Let's do that.

Will make those changes to my name.
I was in the game at 9:05 and stayed where they put me until 9:11. I was watching the board for names I recognised but didn't see any. Should I have moved forward?
Rode the two hours solo and still got my butt kicked;-). Managed just over 3w/kg first time up Box Hill, then steadily downhill from there.
It is a bit random on how far away from the start/finish line it drops you. I roll up to find Josh, today I rolled up to get w/in 50m of the line. Was likely just ahead of you when we rolled out.
Adding NFS to our names will make it easier to find each other at the line plus the jersey.
I got in 2.25 hours of very solid work today, even snagging or chasing other riders, it's all good. Glad you stayed on and crushed it! You probably passed me the first time up Box Hill.
Ding ding ding. We meet at the star finish line / Sprint and add "NFS".
What could go wrong?
I am just now realizing that the game drops people into slightly diff spots

I'm about to get this Zwift thing rolling... on a "dumb" trainer or rollers, but eh, what can you do.
I can't tell what timezone you are in.... I'm assuming EST?
Finally set up and getting tech help from the Chix. Thank you Anne, by the way. I'm doing a reality based ride tomorrow to take care of some errands, but I'll try to get away from work for the 9:10 ride ... is it still 9:10 or is it now at 8:10 est?

Thanks Josh, Anne, and Tom for the company and guidance today - that was awesome!
Sorry for the abrupt departure, but the lever holding my bike to the trainer popped open the third time up Box Hill, and the bike fell over (and me with it.) Now have a nice goose-egg on my right eyebrow where I whacked my forehead on the window sill, and a bent derailleur hanger.
Might be safer to ride outside;-)

That was my first group ride in the VS virtual London. Loved it!!! I did have some difficulty going through the subway the first time and as you noticed it took me a while to figure out which turns to make. Chasing back on is just as hard in the virtual world as it in the real world.
Larry; put ice on that goose egg. At least you didn't get a bunch of road rash.
Anne: I see that you are sporting the post chemo look. Can't Zwift give you some hair?
Josh: I had some difficulty drafting you because in London you aren't 6'8" tall. Grow up!
Let's get a bigger group next week. That was a blast!

Dang Larry, that was a nasty fall complete with trainer. Years ago at an indoor team group ride on rollers, a 6'5" guy came off his rollers and took me out with him. Concur, indoor can offer hazards equal to real life. Hope the hanger is repairable. Great riding with you today.
Tom, this ride was a bit too realistic with you pacing me back to the group. It seemed very familiar. Thanks. I'll work on the hair, fair play since I gave you berries about the color of your hair today.
Josh, my take away from Zwift today is that as the "little" person, missing the draft on the descent is death. There is no catching back on. Hopefully I won't get an ill timed call next ride (however with it's an inbound from the onco office with path results I'll answer).
All, if you can make it to one of these (yes it's during the work day for many of you), it's a great time and amazingly solid workout.
Holy he!! Larry that sux. Brother you are one strong MoFo on the climbs. FWIIW I was pretty gassed the second time up and had Funkadelics cranked to 11...it helps.
That went pretty well, no it went great. With the addition of "NFS" to names it made this much easier to track everyone. The 5 min. break is still essential 'cause 2 hrs. on the trainer is asking alot and hey I got to do planks during the breaks ;)
Tom, I'm pretty sure you did not specifically choose "London 8" when present with the courses menu and it defaults to XYZ course. Check that out and report back.
Hints - Make sure your tires are pumped. I'm running 15 lbs more than on the road. Also, wipe your tire so you have NO slippage.

My fitness is questionable and I was worried I'd be holding people up so I "lost" a few lbs as insurance;-)
Now that I know I can more or less hang I'll start adding it back. FWIW wattage and HR were both at threshold going up Box Hill, so there weren't no lollygagging going on;-)
Travelling to see family for xmas the next 3 weeks so I will be challenged to make the next few rides - but just anticipating these rides is doing good things for my conditioning so I will be back!
Really appreciate you pulling these together.
