The Dems didn’t choose them. The voters did. I supported Andrew Yang but when he dropped out I ended up voting for Joe. In the general election the choice for me is quite clear. The incumbent must be overwhelmingly defeated.

As to the choice of Senator Kamala Harris, it’s a pretty obvious choice but there were obviously other qualified individuals. But she’s bright and has national experience and has won elections. I wouldn’t have been surprised by a few others but this is not a shocking decision at all.
