The separate thread about skiing triggered this bit of lust: the Kessler Phoenix powder/ all mountain skis. Two pieces of hand made Swiss genius. Unfortunately as they are made in Switzerland and the Swiss franc has appreciated like sin... insanely expensive.

I think Eric is to blame. When Nordstrom carries a shoe they try to offer it in all sizes. When they offered the Wolverine 1000 mile shoe in my size I plotzed.

Imagine how much it hurt when they fit and feel like butter and I see they also have the Stockton. Ouch. Both are magnificent and doing double duty at work and play.
