Based on the trailer (which perversely I'm sharing anyways) this didn't look promising:
But I'm halfway in, and damn if Danny Boyle isn't capturing a lot of what made the Sex Pistols brilliant.
It's on Hulu.

GO!
Shetland Series 7 is out now on the BBC. It is a return to the darkside of the northern islands.
I’ve been rewatching Dexter the last few weeks and been enjoying it. I seem to remember it fell off a bit but season 4 is pretty great right now.
If The Lazarus Project is available where you are that’s worth watching.
Think sci-fi Groundhog Day with a bit of About Time about it. Was interesting until the end of the first episode when a reveal meant I was hooked. Really interesting premise.
Can highly recommend “Kleo” on Netflix. It is made by German Netflix, so it doesn’t suck and is actually pretty enjoyable. Dark humor, period references and a bit of magical realism with a story of Kleo, an assassin for the GDR betrayed by her country who seeks a bit of revenge after The Wall goes down. Feels a bit like “Fish Called Wanda” and “Killing Eve” mixed with “Goodbye Lenin”.
My wife, an attorney, recommends “Extraordinary Attorney Wu”. I haven’t watched it, but I understand from my wife that the actor who plays the main character is exceptional. And the concepts addressed culturally are familiar to her from her work in Korea.

By the order of the: Peaky "fookn'" Blinders.
Watch from Season 1, or a Gypsy blue stone curse will arise!
You can watch 'TROM' if you can find it in the US. It is subtitled in a combination of Danish and Faroese.
If nothing else, it is worth it just to see the Faroe Island scenery as location. You will want to plan a visit to the islands.
Basically the end of the earth....
Andor. The whole season is out. It's the best Star Wars show by far and possibly the best SW overall.
Watched the first episode of Andor when it came out and enjoyed it but set it aside for the winter when baseball is over. Will pick it back up soon as I have some rowing to do this month.
My kids are hooked on the David Beckham show on Disney so we’re pacing ourselves with that. He helps out a U-14 team in London for whom he played as a kid.
I am also watching the Chris Hemsworth one. It’s nothing groundbreaking but interesting enough.
Andor is way better than baseball.
We're watching Expanse and Andor. We really enjoyed The Boys and look forward to a new season. What We Do In The Shadows is a guilty pleasure.

The Expanse is good, but it’s a lot. I’m working through it in sprints of 5-6 episodes over a few days, then life gets in the way again.
Just started The Peripheral. Really enjoyed the book, 3 episodes in to the show and it’s off to a good start.
It's sort of a series - 6 episodes. This was totally not on my radar until I heard Payson McElveen's podcast with the director (also worth a listen imo).
Call of a Life Time - behind the scenes of the first attempt at the Grand Prix gravel series. Their version of Drive to Survive?
Free on Youtube:
It's not perfect, but I enjoyed it - watched all of the episodes in two sittings and it flew by.

Not exactly breaking news but I've been watching Last of Us and it's been good - especially the recent episode with Nick Offerman. I don't do video games and don't know anything about it but it's been an interesting show.
It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.
Similar veins
Kloe on Netflix - Think I've mentioned this here. East German assassin true believer gets screwed over by her handlers. Then the wall goes down and it's on. Hilarity but poignant and historical and smart.
Deutschland 83, 86, 89 - Three seasons following East German assassin/operative who starts out a true believer and then transitions into just trying to out-live his country's government. Some hilarity, action and history, but grittier than Kloe. 83 is on AppleTV or PrimeVideo and the subsequent two 86 & 89 are on Hulu. Seems like 86 and 89 have different production budgets and perhaps writers, so in some ways not as coherent/cohesive as 83 but in other ways more frenetic and disorienting for all characters involved as GDR falls apart.
Sorry all,
I could not find the proper place to place this grump.
I was bored and watched Top Gun Maverick this evening.
It's a well made action/drama/comedy/shlock fest.
I recommend it highly for belly laugh.
The Tom Cruise schlock I’m interested in is the sci-fi with Emily Blunt, but I have heard that the new top gun will overcome a grump. Disappointed that Ghost Goose doesn’t seem to be in the story.
