My almost son is going to be so pumped with the costume I'm making him. Not quite two yet and already knows he wants to be an airplane when he grows up.

Finally back up in the mountains. Laying in bed with the window open, I can hear the river rumbling outside the cabin. Had an awesome day of riding yesterday. Today, another day of riding awaits. Weather is perfect. Good friends are here and a few more are driving up today to join us for the weekend rides. Good times.
The mountains are calling and I must go.

I've got nothing to grump about, and it's Friday. It's a sunny 70's day in central Fla. I'm loaded up with appointments until lunch and then I'm sneaking out the back door on the ducati and maybe not going home until dark. We lost another person in my Immunodeficiency group. This Friday will not be wasted.
It's Friday, I have the day off to take my older daughter to/from school and tend the younger while my wife gets/recovers from a root canal.
Had a great time with my older daughter last night helping her with homework - basically came up with a cool movie plot and story board.
And I made a little build progress on my nephew's MTB last night.
I had a morning at my son's school. "Dad's w/ Donuts" they called it. My son brought me a chocolate donut. Yes, they served Dunkin, but it's the thought that counts.

Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
Youth and high school football seasons are over for my family, bittersweet as oldest is a senior. On a positive note, time to get outside, cook breakfast in a blind and hunt ducks. Insert smiley face here.
My daughter's in Istanbul for the week, asking old men to guide her friends to mosques and bazaars.
GO!
The gales/rains are coming to end, tmmrw/Sun gonna be high 50's w/some nice breeze, I'm going sailing!

Do the mods care if you make two posts in a day?
My 74 year old dad just called and and made me chuckle....
dad: would it hurt your feelings if I bought a used Cannondale Caad 9?
Me: why would you do that?
Dad: I just want a new bike and you seem busy. Plus I really wanna get my bars down another inch.
Me: do you remeber telling me before your last frame that you were getting old and 6cm of drop was where you would be comfortable?
Dad: yeah, but I've lost a bunch of weight since then and I'm riding with these old guys and they show no mercy. I need to be about and inch lower on the drops.
SHM ROTFLMAO
The 74yo effer is riding harder than ever. Cracks me up.

About 20-30 friends got their bar exam results today. I'm not there yet (15 hrs left) but happy to see a bunch of good friends achieve a major goal after 4 years of hard work. Most of them, like me, have been working full time and going to school at night. That's 50 hours a week *before* you add reading for class and exam prep.

So this made my day: guy gets in touch about getting some wheels, says he heard about me from Jenson. Huh? Turns out a sales guy there recommended he get custom wheels and recommended me specifically.
It's always nice to end the week on a high note!

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
It's coming.

I've already named it, it's called Magi (aka Three Kings).
