I bought this Citroen last week to replace my new beetle that I was using as an "airport car". The Beetle was the opposite of a practical car. This one should be convenient to throw the bikes or dogs in it. They are desperate to sell cars... 35% discount on MSRP for a new one.

My neighbor across the street has one of those Continentals he needs to restore. Three Priuses could park in the space it took up. Everyone was stoked when he finally moved it into the garage last winter.

Even though it could ruin the lines if this had some space behind the seats this might be the cyclist's best car.
The only auto I've fully lusted over:

Cottage cheese for dinner, Greek yogurt for dessert, eat that everyday an' it will make your butt hurt.
There's this "custom" Subie pick-up

I admit that I've often thought about a '65 El Camino for bike hauling.

Then I could make constant references to one of the worst (yet strangely entertaining) movies of all time.
Most 2cv and mehari tooling were bought by a belgian company when citroen stopped producing them. I believe you can still buy a brand new mehari, provided you supply an old frame and the papers from an wrecked/barnfinded original one.
You'll end up with a brand new car with papers from an old car.
It is costly though.
The same thing applies to a number of expensive old cars that people tend to races. One famous example : the argentinian bugatti from Pur Sang.
The Baja didn't sell well, but the owners of are fanatical about them. Their are three in my small neighborhood alone. The coolest part about working on that project was meeting Horst and Harry Leitner - as AMP Research did the bed extender that was offered with it. Even more awesome-er was that I had brought in my MTB (setup as shown) that same day to use as the fitting trial bike with no idea that AMP was the vendor behind the thing. We were all sort of blown away.
