The 6-disch changer in the trunk is not talking to the head unit.
Need to figure that out over the winter, but this is a good $16 spent in the meantime.

Looks like it comes with a big stack of IPD receipts.

My best friend in college had one. We'd drive down from Olympia to San Francisco overnight, and time the trip so we'd arrive at Tacqueria La Cumbre in the Mission when it opened, for a super steak burrito and a Negro Modelo.

I have a very tightly curated collection of 12 CD's across 2x magazines for the trunk changer.
Criteria are perfect albums with no skips. Wilburys is not in there but would likely be in the 3rd batch of 6 if ever embarked upon.
Cassette pickings are slimmer at our local record shop.

Good criteria. Not sure what I'd put in 2 6-disc magazines, off the top of my head. I do know my Depeche Mode Violator CD has a scratch.

I never really understood the point of those always too limited multi disc magazines in the trunk of your car when you could have a front loader and one of those 30 to 100cd wallets that you would store below the passenger seat. I had ripped and burned all my original discs to CDR for this purpose at the time. Also with newer car system supporting compressed file a single CD could store 4 to 6 albums easily.

It's the selection process. What makes the cut, what doesn't. What would I want in there if I decided to drive to Fairbanks. Thinking that through is part of the experience. Sure, I could pull something out of a wad, slap it in and after a couple cuts go 'that sucks' and grab another one but what's the point of that?

You can't just leave something like that hanging out there. You're going to have to list them.

ha - speaking of CDs, I have unboxed a few of mine lately for this beauty that has made my 15yr old son's dreams of minivan ownership come true :

    PXL_20241001_231519165.jpg

He went in 50/50 on it with my wife and I, 2006 absolutely base model Honda. 130k miles. AM/FM/CD only! He's thrilled and generally isn't interested in doing anything with his lame ole dad these days EXCEPT working on his beloved minivan. So I'll take it.

So far we've swapped out the P/S reservoir/filter and done a fluid flush, replaced the door check links on both sides, removed the interior multiple times to run wires for a rear camera and a few other random trim pieces.

    new bits under the hood:
    PXL_20241005_161842400.jpg

putting the doors back together after replacing the check links and learning ratchets:
    PXL_20241005_152718565.jpg

Careful around airbags! (yes the battery is disconnected)
    PXL_20241005_194400663.jpg

Getting good with trim bits and not breaking 18yr old plastic clips!
    PXL_20241005_215030919.jpg

    Learning about add-on fuses:
    PXL_20241005_215050415.jpg

Anyway, this thing has a few dings and scars on the outside but it's only ever been serviced at a Honda dealership until I got ahold of it, the Honda V6 purrs like a kitten and it generally appears as if the rear passenger and cargo compartment were never used by the original owners.

And that there is the least sexy post of all time in this thread! haha.

If I had to start from scratch and had access to every album ever, rather than just what is readily available at the local shop, there would be some variations, but you get the picture.

And deer. Though I'm pretty sure deer think you're making their food fancy.

Thanks for that - I'm not familiar with the Jurassic 5, but those are some great albums. I've been on a Heart Like a Wheel kick for a couple of months, coincidentally. Cheers.
