It's Friday, be happy.
It's Friday, be happy.
Rain snow and sleet and then rain and snow and then rain snow and sleet tonight and then rain and sleet changing to rain tomorrow but I don't care I'm riding outside. I love that kind of weather.
Sorry, Thursday sucked and Friday is going to suck more than Thursday. Just saying that it seems that December is not going to be much fun.
I will do twenty Sun Salutations this evening.

I had kind of an off week but this always helps cheer me up:
Well, shit hasn't gotten better but I did just spend a few minutes with George Takei at the barber.
So after 5 years I've got Fred Savage, and Sulu.

Hearing Reigning Sound and Sleater Kinney on the radio just before I walk into a job I hate.
It ain't Friday no more, but lemmie jus say...
Day drunk is best drunk.
It's the anti-Friday, I know, but this put a smile on my face. If you were to say, "Hey Dustin, what gets you going?" I'd respond with "These are a few of my favorite things:"

I've never subscribed to Bicycling Magazine, but they seem to know me very well.

Sugarloaf has a ton of this snow for this time of year, I'll take it! Shaping up to be a boys only ski wknd, nothing better! I feel strong, clear headed, flexible and fit. I shall rip, I shall stomp my ski buds into the ground, I shall smile ear-to-ear whilst doing so! I shall beer myself as just reward!!! Cheers all!
you're not the lord of the flies
My wife's team at work met their ~5month long stretch of 2014 goals to earn every employee [even the receptionist (not my wife)] of the company plus their spouse/guest an all-expense week on the Mexican Riviera. Glad to see her thrive and be fortunate to work for a generous boss rather than the jealous manipulative bitches she's worked for in the past. I was beginning to think she just had issues with working well with others. Now I have to find a way to increase my freckles gradually by April so I'm not magenta-man the second day of vacation.
It's Friday!!
Yesterday I got an offer letter for a new job. My current employeer closes the doors to their Augusta office on the 19th, I'll get two weeks off, then start with the new company on the 5th.
And tomorrow, 42 miles of leaf crunching MTBing fun is planned. Happy weekend everyone!

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
It looks like the ADK 540 is on next year! Just when my motivation is nothing more than grim resolve along comes a goal. I'm going to complete the 270 this time, no stupid mistakes. Or maybe not just the same ones. Then I'm riding the 135 on Saturday if I had a great Friday.
I just filled out employee seperation forms for 111 people.

Late last night I used my shop wet/dry vac to suck out a nasty kitchen sink / garbage disposal blockage (vs plunging it down).
Worked perfectly, and I didn’t have to take anything apart to fix (which is ALL I’ve been doing this past month)…yeah, that made my day.
A very full social life this week:
- Monday dinner with friends that stretched from 6:30 - 10:30. An evening of wonderful conversation with great friends. And we learned we're all going to be on the Big Island, with our kids, in a couple weeks.
- Tuesday evening with Aimee Mann and her Christmas variety show. Ted Leo was a revelation. And can I say she was a Charmer?
- Thursday dinner with (different) friends before going to a book party where the female half of the couple read her chapter from the collection of essays. She was, by far, the best part of the evening.
And my daughter will be home in about 70 hours. But who's counting?
GO!
