    Wow, cool!

What years were you in Holbrook?

Stop in & see the shop, I have a beautiful view of The Peaks!

What were your parents doing in Holbrook - BNSF, Teaching or Hospital?

    - Garro.
I was there from 1971 till I graduated in 1980. My father worked for the local doctor as well as the hospital on weekends. I spent a bit of time at Greasewood on the reservation as he was dating one of my many stepmothers;-) This was before the bypass was complete and at the time they were building the Cholla power plant in Joseph City so it was a bit of a boom. I haven't been back since 2003 but I've heard it's not like it was.

And I'll definitely stop by the shop if I'm in Flag. I'll just have to keep myself from stumbling to Grannies Closet or the Museum Club on the way.

Holbrook looks about 50% abandoned now.........but I think Flag's real estate prices will make it a bedroom community, believe it or not.

And if you are going to The Club pick me up 1st!

I hope it is a gentle Green Giant that rides that bike. That bike looks pretty huge, maybe a trick of the light but I think not.

    Yep.

We leave on the 14th for a little over two weeks, we go in Oct & March as then your Mexican vehicle insurance & visas are still in your 180 day window, and it's the only times that don't interfere with the fruit trees, and it looks like we may damn well have a bumper crop this year - irrigation turns on in March, and I got a god 35 trees that need a 2nd trimming for the year.

The answer might already be in here somewhere, so forgive me if I'm repeating things, but the segmented seatstays... I read in your DR interview that that's for extra compliance. I assume it's less trouble than it's worth otherwise you wouldn't do it. Do you just telescope two tube over each other and sweat filler up the gap? What kind of overlap makes you stop worrying about making a stress riser where the tube ends overlap the other tube? I like them a lot; there aren't many truly distinctive design features (think hellenic stays) like that about.

    Ta,
    Ben

    Ta,

They area total bitch, but I feel they are worth it in both ride and visually - that's why I call the "Fun Stays" - they add so much Fun to the build.......and sorry but no build details, that's my info hard earned.

They are the dominant tube in the recycling bin...........
