This would be a non-story if it weren't the Pats, who, unfortunately, bring higher scrutiny onto themselves (rightly so). Teams regularly heat balls during cold games, which is prohibited, but no one ever does anything about it.

I really hope this is some sort of weird screw up, because otherwise it just reeks. It would take a very sneaky, coordinated effort on the part of the equipment staff in order to pull this off. And why would you deliberately cheat this way when the refs handle the ball 70-80 times a game? That doesn't make sense to me.
    This is just crazy......

Even in high school football each team uses their own ball. Huge PITA for the officials. League should provide all balls, all the same, for everyone, kicker, QB, etc.

I'll admit, as I'm among friends here, that when I coached soccer, I added a psi or two to the ball when the turf was wet and it hadn't been cut for a while. There, I said it.

I assume this means the nfl officials will be giving tom brady's balls a firm squeeze before the game next week.

    Note.
It has never been been a good idea to really piss brady off.
    He plays better pissed off.

    What's the spread? Anyone?

I've nothing constructive to add other than to say this seems to be par for the course with the Pats imho. Go Seattle...but ultimately Brady still wins - win, loose, draw (or DQ), next Sunday night he still goes home and crawls in bed with Gisele...

Seahawks are getting 1 - 2 points, depending on where you put your money down.

I love the pop culture aspect. That said i also dont really care for either team and predicting Pats are going to crush.

^^^ that is the ticket. Seahawks' first superbowl was a glorious day on the slopes. Last year and this year, not enough snow.
