Oh you kids,1972 was a good year from what I remember about it.

Quit bragging. My two remaining WORKING brain cells cry for the 70's. Such blurry good times'ish.

In my kindergarten photo i've got some nifty purple corduroy trousers and a nice velour pullover shirt.

Today at work I think I saw my first non-professional haircut. I happen to know that this guy lives with some gal (don't know if they're married or not) so he may or may not have had help, but overall, it was clearly not his usual cut.

I haven't decided if I'm going to give it a try myself or not this weekend. Probably not - I'm not quite that desperate (yet) so I'll hold off on trying it. However, I have charged up both batteries that go with the Wahl pet clippers (which I believe to be essentially the same thing as human clippers, except that mine have some cat hairs in there too) and oiled up the mechanism, so it's ready to go...

I was going to say, your pet clippers look pretty much identical to our “human” clippers. My oldest is nearly 15 and he’s never been in a hairdressers. He gets teased a lot though...

By the way, “The Mechanic” was not the first entirely inappropriate film my Dad brought his nine-year-old son to see.

We also saw “The Andromeda Strain” which kinda left a mark.

One takeaway from that movie was remembering to always take my LED blinky light off flash mode when riding in a group.

That's a great movie Todd. The building is / was based on a high containment lab on campus of NIH where mom did much of her work. Scary place. She kept a 55 gallon fish tank in the adminstrative section filled with a fleet of Silver Dollars (they are fish sheesh) that flashed back and forth all day. Peace in the middle of certain death, it was her style mark.

This is what happens when teenagers are bored and find the wahl clippers.

I'm wearing a Yomiuri Giants hat. Best $25 I've spent in a while. Just have to slowly pay out a bit more strap on the fit as the volume grows.

I aways wondered why you did that...it is out of sync with my assumption that as an engineer you would be concerned with battery life above all else.

No, it is because NYTimes' satellites listen in on everything, even your deepest thoughts.

Sorry those are not teenagers. That nap you took the other day - it lasted 10 years.

I noticed that and may well use the method they describe if I go for it this weekend.
