Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
Just one of many, too hard to choose:

My wife saw this and wants to plan a trip to Japan to get one. I love my wife.
But it probably won't happen because what she really wants is an old Defender 110 troop carrier like her family used to have in Maine. She wants it so she can haul a bunch of dogs around town and roll coal on hybrids. Did I mention that I love my wife?
I remember the first time I saw one of these in person. I was riding north on Central Park West in 1982 and had to pull a U-turn to go look at it, parked on the Southbound side. She was like a lingerie model, frozen while crawling toward my bed, adorned in black silk and leather. Never before had I had such a strong urge to have sex with a motor vehicle. And only once since.
could not agree more. i saw one in about 1982, worked a summer in san francisco and to get there drove though reno. stopped into see harrahs collection while it was still together. three buildings, size of football fields, crammed with perfectly restored cars: six rows, cars about 4 or 5 feet apart, 100 plus yards long--staggering site even to a kid who didn't really appreciate old cars. never forget it.
but in the middle of one of the "barns", surrounded by indescribably beautiful cars, upon a a stage by herself as befitted her, was pure lust, lust incarnate, if you will. they say some pornographic images can stay with you forever...this one did.
This one is sort of nice and convenient to get the dogs in the back.
That my oldest son gets gainfully employed and moves out of the house......

I can't stop obsessing over this watch, The Ball Watch Hydrocarbon Nedu.
It's big, over the top, a true diver, expensive and it has me rethinking and contorting to try and rationalize just a prue want and desire.
I'm not an impulsive type so my will is keeping me in check, but I look at this watch about once a week.
Want. Want. Want!
OK, now I'm good for another week.
