Down another 5 lb since the first of the month.
My unemployment runs rampant: I'm cycling every non-crappy day, and have dropped 15bpm off my resting heart rate, and I'm guessing 30 points off my blood pressure. If I can stop relaxing, I might find out for sure.
Then to add awesomeness to fantasticality, I found a Global Ceramic honing stick, normally $125, for $43.75.
And, my Limmer Boots are breaking in.
And... I found some Giordana shorts I once got on sale, and they fit perfectly. No other short of mine comes close.
Finally, I just farted and no one complained. No one at all. Time for a snort of port and that Ken Burns doc on the National Parks...
Irish win!
Done with classes for a week, T-Minus two days until I'm headed for Central Florida as well. Looking forward to riding without 8 layers on.

I rode a bike outside yesterday, on the roads. It was wet, messy and windy. It was awesome.
GO!
Spring skiing!!!
I could grump about the fact that I have a 4-day business trip next week, or alternatively I could celebrate the fact that it is taking me to San Diego and surrounds. No bike but bringing running shoes, and looking forward to dipping my feet in the Pacific for the first time in years.
Also, when I pick up my bike at the shop this weekend, it will have 2 more gears than when I dropped it off.
my name is Matt
I'm done with meetings for the week! And when I get home, there's a fridge full of beer and a green bike waiting in the stand.
My father in law was cleaning out his parts bin and found 2 chains and a cassette (campy 10s) he is giving me.
My boys woke up before 6 am to play with a new Lego set but at least they were able to play together nicely and not kick, punch, pull hair, gouge eyes etc.
The Google Fiber folks are digging a rainbow rabbit hole right out front of my house as I type this.
Not a bad Friday, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, til then, it's party time, pass the blow:
1. Two contracts signed, sealed, and delivered. This is the Honeymoon phase w/a client. We'll commence the passionate fucking right away, it'll be great and we'll all yuk it up, inquire about families all earnest-like, become friends, all while printing money out of air, hell I might even get some. We'll navigate some bumps in the road - together - weather the storms, it'll bring us closer. Then one or both of us will cheat w/a vengeance, and probly end up in court. I love it, and love it more cuz I just don't give a shit.
2. Headed North to watch Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin go at it on my home turf!!! These two are racking up World Cup wins at an alarming rate, and I love seeing the best do what they do, it's a privilege, and it gives me chills, it's life confirmed.
3. A nagging shoulder strain has finally faded. I feel good. I swear to you: swimming, treading water, etc...serve the muscles well. Plus if you time yer it right, you'll catch High School swim practice, which is good for the heart and mind!
That's all for now. For some reason this song popped into my head today, straight outta nowhere. I'm on my 6th or 7th listen as I type. Cheers!
you're not the lord of the flies
Got into a smaller size pair of pants comfortably. First time wearing these in over a year.
