Working on my Bokeh skills. Yes - I have a long way to go. At least I have a worthy subject.

I love this bike!
Sitting on the couch 1/2 reading a book, 1/2 watching the sunset, and this bird stepped out of the herbage onto the porch.
Here a crop for detail.
It is a partridge from the Middle East called a Chukar. They are raised as game birds in the US, and inevitably there are escapes. I think Colorado has a pretty stable population of them. This one probably lives up the road with the guinea fowl, ducks, geese and chickens.
and to continue the bird theme.............

Welcome to my offices! (I'm a gardener by profession)

Beautiful. Almost looked like a Hopper painting at first glance.
My gardener wife likes that picture, open roader, but because it’s Australia she assumes there are 12 deadly creatures hidden in it.
A copperhead snake slithered out between the concrete slab and the weatherboards last Thursday! Very beautiful looking serpent........ venemous but really harmless. it didn't hang around for me to take it's portrait photo. There are at least a dozen redback spiders in the back shed as pictured and in summer the scorpions hide in the front shed when the concrete slab provides cool on the really hot days but honestly, i don't mind the deadly creatures so long as I see them first!
Saw this one first - a small eastern Brown Snake - this one can kill you, deadly poison and deadly aggressive - still very beautiful creature.

Back to birds.
Silver eye lands in a prostanthera bush. These little guys are shy but they do pose for minutes at a time if you can stay 6m to 8m away. Love my 500mm prime.
