good article,
but it should say "drugs", not "medicine". To me "medicine" encompasses all of medical treatments including check ups and surgery, which have nothing to do with the drugs being talked about in the article.

This has the greasy paw prints of the tee-rump administration all over it.

1. Attempt to repaint what has actually happened.

2. Respond with righteous, but feigned (or is it feigned but righteous?) indignation when someone questions you on your attempt to sidestep the truth.

3. Ramp that indignation to 11 because it’s a woman who called you on your shit. WTF women?

4. Turn this into a general trashing of the 4th Estate, broadbrush as needed wth “lamestream media”.

5. Threaten to withhold congressionally-appropriated funds

6. Really embarrassing and incriminating tweets from tee-rump

7. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Hoping that this is a bridge too far. NPR is not mainstream. Mary Louise Kelly’s credentials are impeccable, and she has been in the public’s eye longer than Pompeo (a decade longer). She has painstakingLy built credibility to become an icon in an industry that depends solely on credibility, during much of the time that Pompeo’s accountability was nil, authority was absolute, and responsibility was solely to rake in dollars from the defense industry.

This is an overreach of the administration to broadly smear journalism, and I hope it comes back to bite them in the ass.

Mary Louse Kelly has completely outplayed Mike Pompeo in this set. He looks like the red-faced blowhard that he is.

And to think, she may not be the alpha among diplomats from other countries that include Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Pwned, we are.
