i fully respect your right to carry a pocket knife on a regular basis. but help me understand, because i feel like i'm missing something. i'm 33 and cannot recall a single time in my life where i said, "if only i had my pocket knife with me." granted, i'm not a forest ranger, but i've had a diverse selection of jobs so far in life. what are you guys using your pocket knife for, especially in an office setting?

I am allergic to stinging insects. The day I discovered that was a day when I literally picked up my pocked knife, (a very old Schrade Old Timer Junior), and then grabbed my keys and left the knife on the desk. 2 hours later, I was being driven to the Emergency room, I was looking in the vanity mirror and reaching for my knife, wondering if I had the balls to give myself a tracheotomy at 60 MPH. I didn't find the knife, instead passed out on the dashboard and was pulled out by paramedics who happened to be eating breakfast at the diner. I don't know if I would have been able to do it, don't know if it would have saved me, but then again, Who says you won't get into a knife fight at the office?

Got a new knife this week from a local semi custom guy called 3 sisters forge. This is hands down the best folder I've ever had. 6/4 ti frames, frame lock, nice smooth lock up and rock solid. It's a bit bulky in the pocket but it feels great in the hand. The texture is carved with the water jet that then cuts the handle, pretty cool.

I buy a new Case every few months and pass the old ones down to the boys. I started with Canoes and then the Case Russlock and now the Drop Point Russlock. I think for the money, the Russlock is a hard knife to beat.

Right on. There are a raft of old case pocket knives on ebay for short money. They make great gifts.

I've had two Benchmade 710 Axis locks in the past 18 years and haven't found another knife that I like as much. I lost the first one to a LEO in Rocky Mount, NC in 1999 and I hope he's still using it.

I've been carrying dad's Buck 501 with rosewood handles. This is a stock picture below, my phone is on charger so...

I've never not carried a small folding knife and can't imagine not having one.

The Benchmade with Axis lock and Sebenza are as mentioned by others two things made way way nicer than they need to be.

Favorite way to maintain the edge on all my pocket knives is a DMT W250FCNB 10-inch DuoSharp Bench Stone Fine / Coarse and a real deal Arkansas stone (soft).

I just gave my last knife to one of my kids so it's time for another. I really like the Case Russlock knife and now that it's made in a drop point its a little better looking. I've got one on the way.

I recently put a Victorinox classic in my glove box, there is a reason it has been a classic so long.



Although if the blade were a smidge thicker it would feel more manly.

kind bulky but that makes it feel nice when using it

for abuse i still use opinel carbone, easy to sharpen, just used one to cut a bunch of open cell foam to redo some seats in my car...
