This is not the only great version of the song just to be clear.

^^^^ Her rendition of that song is one of those things you have to revisit from time to time, just to reset your system.

My friend Sami turned me onto this one which is very reminiscent of "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand".
The new Alejandro Escovedo record. Because Saturday night!
GO!
From when I attended college, when bmx videos and music were exploding in abundance, Digitalism's "Pogo" plays in my ears now.
I don’t go outside my usual musical lane very often but I was in Reno, NV a few months ago for my work and it was a late arrival and I got to see this band for a couple hours. It was mesmerizing. They were amazing and I don’t think they’re full-time musicians. Mostly they jam and create music in their time away from their day jobs. I see too little live music due to my work schedule usually being extremely early morning work, but this was a rare treat even though I was up way later than usual. I’m not sure this video does justice. The set they performed live was amazing and full of energy.
La Cheeserie!
Liquid Soul’s doing a show in Aurora in June. I think it may the first one since Mars Williams passed away last year.
I am psyched. (Although it will not be the same without him.)

The new Craft Recordings vinyl reissue pressing of Tony Rice's Church Street Blues. It's a wonderful 180 gram pressing of the great Tony Rice playing mostly unaccompanied. Amazing stuff. Also, it led me back into the Punch Brother's cover album where they play all of the same songs in the same order as on Tony's album, also highly recommended.
Hi David, hope you are well!
Steve Albini, of course:

St. Vincent covering Big Black and Steve Albini. This might be a rare case where the cover improved on the original.
I have feelings about St. Vincent as a producer (specifically her impact on Sleater-Kinney) but I enjoy her performances.
Caffe Lena TV. Right now Peter Rowan is killing it. When we can't drive up to Saratoga we sit in the front room with the cats. The other week Paul Thorn, Joe Louis Walker, it goes on and on. You'll see people you never heard of that will knock you out. That place is a goddamn national treasure. Get a membership, subscribe to their stream. You won't regret it.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
Every song on the new Waxahatchee is excellent
