This is why it's imperative that well meaning people contribute to the two Democratic US Senatorial candidates in the Georgia run-off: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...cans-democrats

The Biden administration is looking better and better. While the lame, orange duck was egging on his minions on the way to the golf course, the President-elect and future First Lady showed much better judgement. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/live...o_hed#74210050

I hope she shouted “Slowing!” while using that left hand signal.

Brings back memories of George W. And "Who'd you rather have a beer with?" when R vs. D wasn't such a big deal and democracy wasn't "at stake". I'll be honest and say I'd rather share a 4-pack of IPA with Trump. Step outside this do or die 2020 stuff. Who'd you rather have a beer with? We won't tell your mom.
And vélo related, Does Trek hold the presidential warrant?

Well, it’s pretty well known that DJT is not a drinker. So I’d rather not share one with him. Or maybe I would cuz I’d get all 4. Same with his successor. He’s also said to not consume alcohol.
But DJT is of German background and JB is of Irish extraction, so both may have some knowledge here they’re not letting be known. Both also have first hand knowledge of substance abuse, so there’s that human element.

Saab,
I get what you are saying above except for this:
so both may have some knowledge here they’re not letting be known
Please explain your thinking.
Thanks,

I do wonder what a comparison of expenditures for campaign paraphernalia might reveal.
I see so much more size and volume of the MAGA side.
Perhaps that money might have been spent elsewhere?
Monster trucks, gigantic flags, a red wardrobe...........
I might buy a couple of bikes with this change.
I could also buy a hand held U.S.A. flag (8x20cm) to attach to my seat bag.
Nothing deep. Don’t read anything conspiratorial into this. Both cultures are known to toast and tip a beverage. Nothing more.
I respect both their decisions. Substance abuse is no joke and both have experienced it. Biden’s son and Trump’s brother.
Please, don’t read anything beyond this into my words. Substance abuse is apolitical and very personal.

As usual, I’ve stuffed my feet into my mouth. If there are questions about this please PM me. Out of political threads for a while.

Might I suggest following our great leader.
There are 66 days to visit your nearest Trump golf course.
Dump the bike, ride the cart.
Sorry about those living away from a coast.

C-Span 3, Professor Curry explains the Electoral College.
C-Span 3 runs recorded versions of history classes from colleges, this one is a recent,
an online class, taped well before the election.
Rube Goldberg could learn a thing or two from an American Gummint class.

Having a beer with Trump (setting aside his not drinking thing) would be tedious. He'd just talk about himself. And he'll have plenty of time to do just that if the authorities come knocking in late January, just not on topics of his choosing.
I'm not sure I'd have a beer with Biden either. Maybe a cup of coffee would be better.
