Oy. Every time I order from Silca, I buy enough to get a free bottle of NFS thrown in. I could almost start my own popup storefront. Thing is, I don't have good enough friends to give NFS to -- they get the remains of my other lubes. Of course, maybe that's why they aren't best friends. ;)

Since we are into sincere quotes these days "Don't bogart that NFS my friend, pass it over to me".
@ericpmoss Do the right thing man, spread the lube.

Just finished a MTB tour, NFS worked flawlessly and as expected. Quietest drivetrain on the trip, and that includes a pinion with a belt ;) ! Also worked wonders on the creaky door in our apartment.

Finally ordered some of this. Do I need to do a real chain cleaning before I switch over or is there enough solvent in it to just apply?

Ever since I started using NFS I’ve always throughly cleaned the chain first.

Well, I finally ran out of crappy no-name grease -- and just when I was (over)due to grease all the pedals on all of my bikes -- so I took the opportunity to order a jar of Race Grease.

...and then while I was at it I figured "Hey, who doesn't need more NFS chain lube?"

Well, the answer is Me, because I've barely made a dent in the 2oz bottle I got 2 years ago. But still, I'm a sucker for mail order. So I got more.

If you'd told me 20 years ago that I would one day be giddily excited about ordering industrial lubricants for non-bodily use I would've punched you in the neck. :::sigh:::

LOL good stuff Bob. Simple pleasures eh?

Christian, dewd that is a fantastic report and thanks for the pics.

Sailor, depends. NFS will clean your chain of gunked up old lube and dirt but as Dave says it might be better to hit it with some hot water, Dawn liquid soap and a brush.

I can't help myself, got to share a recent review from the e-commerce site >>>

I've been riding for 59 years now, perhaps 400,000 miles and this is just the best lube ever. In recent years have done most of my riding on bikes built in the 1950s and 1960s. Ride them with chainrings and freewheels that are still replaceable but each time one of those rings is used up that's one less ring on the planet. With NFS easily twice the mileage on the old parts. And all of those miles clean and quiet and smooth. J.W.

Received my bottles last week and put it on my cargo commutter this week and it fixed the idler pulley noise. I swear it feels easier to pedal too. I was happy with RR gold for a long time but I think this is the winner.

Just a friendly note to say again how much I like this stuff. I have the original, and the Silca varient - and they continue to serve me well.

Everyone who stopped by my mech-support station at the Seattle-to-Portland for chain lube got NFS.

Few days on crushed limestone....NFS easily handles the task. This same dust can approximate concrete when it goes on damp.
