    What bars are those?

Thank you. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. The bars are a pair of Watson Parkarino's I believe. But last I spoke to the client in Switzerland, he's going to swap to a pair of Answer Carbon 20/20's on them as he's been really digging them on his singlespeed I built for him earlier this year:

Apparently tomorrow is the first day of spring. Spring? Come again? Spring? 16" and still falling...

    Default "Daily Driver"

I've been wrenching a lot of bikes of late, and realized it was time to head down the Bike Dojo to roll up my sleeves on my own personal ride. This past Friday night was spent rebuilding wheels, greasing bottom brackets and being a "gettin' sh!t done motherf'r". So I made a bunch of updates to my own personal ride. The short end is 1x10, Tubeless (finally... yes, it took me THAT long) and guideless thanks to a Wolf Tooth Components XX1 style 104bcd chainring. Thought I'd share more here...

I've been really enjoying my fat bike and the snow. But it's really time for spring to arrive and this is getting me in the spirit (as if I need an excuse to be stoked on bikes). I can't wait to hit up some singletrack this weekend in Rhode Island. "Shredability" is going to be in the vocabulary for my "Shredule"...

I just want to say, I've been following your shop build and smoked out section for a while now.

I'm mesmerised by your shop build.

Hypnotised by your tool making abilities and welding skills.

Romantised by your stunning bike builds.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a classic lugged, fillet brazed, old school cool kinda bike freak, but ... If ever I got serious about making frames I would want your shop, your tools and jigs, and most of all your skills.

It is all stitched together with amazing photography also, that's no accident.

Thanks for the education, I pop back here every now and then.

    I'm never disappointed.

    Kris,

Awesome work and thanks for the frame jig info. What is the color code of that blue? I may have to steal it for my next frame build.

Thanks for the kind words all.

Blue is Tiger Drylac's "Sparkle Sky Blue" color number 49/40074. I'm doing my new fat bike in this same color but the red version. Can't wait...

Beautiful bikes Kris - love the set-up on your personal 29er, and your story. The lines on that bike just look so good!

Thanks fellas. Been riding this beast a bunch of late. Made some changes as I mentioned this past winter and spring with the largest being tubeless (holy cow what a difference...). The Wolf Tooth ring has been amazing. Super smooth, light, and it works. Haven't dropped a chain yet and I've been thrashing it. Here's the latest iteration:

Working on a massive web update... Should be live in the near future. Till then, here's a sneak peek at the new digs.

For those interested in a peek behind the curtain, a test site is up and located ::HERE:: Still working on it, but this is a close final draft which is a bit different than the one above. The newest iteration seems to work a bit better on smaller mobile devices but still looks good on large desktop screens (a balancing act I'm finding...). But I'm pretty stoked on the new look and feel. Next up will be the 2013 Catalog PDF download which should be killer. More soon...

On the "Hear the call of the trail" background the riders head is stuck up in the transparent header. Bit of a nit pic, but it seems kinda off to have his head out of the visible shot...but still kinda in it. A shot cropped in closer to focus on the trail that only shows 1/2 the rider or one that shows the whole rider might be better.

On Kid Dangerous the last word "choice" falls off the bottom of your bikes background div.

I know you didn't post up asking for critiques, but I hope you don't mind them.

Looks great, are you using Wordpress?

Thanks for this and exactly what I am looking for (within reason). Different screens and settings seem to throw some small things off like what you mention. Locally my wife's computer actually looks a bit different than my own and we both have Mac's but different OS's and screen sizes. I'll take a look at it and make the necessary tweaks.

The riders head was supposed to be cropped actually and I'll most likely be switching these images out every now and again to keep it a bit fresh with new messages.

Wordpress is the blog, but pretty much html semantic markup with CSS to make it all look good. Some JS here and there that is free too...
