Marquez is just to damn comfortable on that Honda at the moment....but then again it's been a while since he's crashed out.

Bummer.
TT has started and there has already been a casualty.
Amazing race series but just the slightest mistake can be very costly.

2 fatalities actually. Dan Kneen crashed after setting his fastest lap ( 132.258mph ) ever on the course yesterday. Second casualty Steve Mercer hit a course inspection car during a red flag which looks concerning. As a result the procedure during red flag has been changed tonight and instead of riding back to the pits area under red flag riders will have to got to a complete halt wherever they are on the course and wait for the course to be cleared to reach back the pits.

I wonder how much longer there will be a TT. It's sad but those guys are a special breed.
Wasn't familiar with this before. Watched a couple of Isle of Man videos from this year and googled a little on fatality stats. I'm no wuss and love motorsports (4 wheeled, participate in PCA HPDE) but this seems to be an unacceptable risk of human life to me. Spectators at risk also. YMMV.

Not at all. Please note the YMMV at the end of my post and the fact that I did not propose a ban on this race or sport. I'm always open to other perspectives.

In the first superbike race today Dean Harrison retired after leading for most of the race and Michael Dunlop won his 17th TT win. That TT course is rough on the machine too, there are always so many retirements from mechanicals issues.

Mugello did not disappoint. All three races were very good and very entertaining.
Has Lorenzo found the formula that will keep him up front on the Ducati? His comment in post interviews about "too little too late" was very interesting.
And immediately on the heels of Pedrosa and HRC announcing their split.
Lorenzo agrees two-year Honda MotoGP deal
Holy Shit.......jaw dropper.

Will they put walls in the pits?
Lorenzo could be competitive on that machine........so where does this leave Pedrosa? Retirement? Satellite team.
I'm floored. That Honda pit is going to be one interesting place.

Re: CatalanGP, well that was a DNF fest. A bit boring up front with regards to racing, but very very impressive none the less.
Alonso..........

IMO Alonso is the best active driver. Maybe of all times but that remains to be seen. The guy can drive a car 4 places higher up the grid than it belongs. Put him in a winner and you're hoping for a mechanical or 2nd place.
Hasn't been discussed, but Assen as they say, was a proper "Ding dong!"
Was it the best race of the year? Not sure about that, but damn that was some close racing!
