You roast coffee with a cowbell?

I use an old breadmaker and a heatgun*, I thought that was cowboy enough.

Behmor is about to come out with a 1 kg desktop roaster which sounds interesting. You'll need a 20A plug to run it stateside.

They've updated the website, same info but now there's an image.

Someone on Coffee Snobs mentioned the price being $USD2500. That makes the payback about 100 kg of coffee at the prices I pay.

Even Italian highway reststops (Autogrill) take their coffee and food seriously.

Interesting that the Americano is 100% Arabica but not the Espresso.

Based on the belt and pants, that Barista has lost a bunch of weight. Maybe I should make more espresso.

Not the greatest extraction, but an enjoyable 8 1/2 minutes nonetheless.

In Italy it works that if you do bad coffee people will talk about, and you may as well leave the shutters down in the morning.

Note the La Cimbali M100 espresso machine. It's the Veyron of espresso machines, which talks to the grinder to achieve a 25s pour. At a gas station. America -- you've fallen behind.

without exaggeration that's probably 5 minutes worth of grind at a place like that.
