The more I ride and ride different bikes, there is a certain type of loud that is good and then there is another that is not so bueno.

Not Riding!
The loud that makes me laugh every time is in the summer and I'm up at 2am doing an implementation upstairs in the office with the windows open, the city's all quiet and a couple of riders over on the Crosstown where it goes divided for a half mile or so with Central Park on one side and Schenectady Muni on the other launch off the Golf Road light and it sounds like they wind up to 12000rpm. I'm a mile away and it sounds like they're on my back lawn.
Very cool!
We should have a Motorcycle Culture Club Forum. There is very little daylight between that and this.

That's hawt. Where is this?
Folks who twist the r. grip answer me this. Suppose that one of the leading ADV forums on the interwebs was having a moment. Suppose there were some ADV types who would relish a opportunity to start fresh at a new forum (here). If I were to build it would they come?
This is a serious question I'm mulling over. It would me a dedicated new section to Vsalon and a bunch of volunteer moderators to manage the new inmates.
What we offer at V is a well moderated non-commercial space.
Asking for a friend.

toots,
I don't ride things that aren't fully under my power* but I think the adventure crew are pretty chill. I'd personally welcome some fresh blood around here.
* but the one thing I'm not 100% sure would mesh is the beliefs and candor around trail access for assorted motorized two wheeled vehicles. There's sometimes some heat to the conversation around electric motorized bikes with pedals on trails with just our crewe and there's thorny issues for land use and responsibility in all these areas. Maybe we'd find common ground... maybe we wouldn't. It would be the only thing I'd deeply consider.
I think this could be fun.
on instagram i follow the hashtag #biketouring - and that feed winds up being a pretty even split between motos and pedal bikes. Pretty cool. I think adventure minded people should get along pretty well.
It would require real moderation though and a close eye for troublemakers. There definitely exists some us vs them culture between motos and pedal bikes, but if you keep that in check i think it'd be cool.
For Pete's sake, TT. First the custom bicycles, then the watches and razors, and now adventure motorcycles? My wife is going to kill me.

It's a abandoned copper smelt south of Copper Harbor MI.
Definitely up for a new ADV forum! The other one is a bloated mess.
I'll hold you to that.
I'm willing to give it a shot. Depends on a few things such as volunteers to moderate and enough acceptance from the current V crowd.
I'm of the firm belief that the handmade bicycle culture is a good match for Moto culture but hey I've beat that drum enough.
Speaking of Motos it is time for me to do the annual fluids change on my 08' GSA. Brakes are good, tires are pretty fresh. Won't take much to prep. for the season other than a solid cleaning.

The Keweenaw peninsula is my favorite place on early. If those moto-cats like it, too, we can hang.

You have the NE and MA BDR's close to you. The NE looks to have big bike go arounds for the technical areas.
