Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
Anybody of you north-easterners going to the sold out NYE performance of Andrew WK's "I Get Wet" in Boston tonight? We need reports if so. :D
I know his act is a joke to some, he's a record label contrivance to others, etc, but, and it's the darnedest thing: I don't like Andrew WK ironically. Something about his amped up hedonism, positive outlook, and pumped up piano metal sound has always appealed to me. Either way, I'm sure the show will be fun tonight.
TT is one band I have no idea why isn't more popular. susan is like bonnie raitt meets janis. derek is a great player - seen TT twice as well and the clapton tour when derek lead the backup band.
when they came through SF it was small hall and they had a special guest come out - carlos santana. some serious playing ensued. I hope you enjoy the show. o
Saw John Mayer channel Jerry and absolutely (IMHO) kill it with bob, mickey and bill last monday. should have gone twice. way better IMHO than the full four at Levi's fare thee well #1.
Dinner with my wife and best friends and then Van Morrison. It's been awhile since I saw him. I am incredibly excited.
Review tomorrow.

We saw Alejandro Escovedo just after Thanksgiving. Go check out the videos on his FB page for "A Thousand Kisses Deep". You can thank me later.
Another Vijay Iyer show coming up in March.
Aside from that, theater and small classical ensembles at the Gardner Museum. I need more rock.
GO!
Probably going to see The Levin Brothers when they come to NYC in April.
And I guess I have to check out the newly-reconstituted 8-member King Crimson on their US tour, especially now that the Ringling Brothers/Barnum & Bailey Circus is no more.
Northfield Arts Guild : dave-simonett
Just saw Dave play our local arts guild site. About 50-60 of us packed into the small theatre. One of my favorite shows in the last few years.
Trampled by Turtles goodness...
Juicy J on March 2. Project Pat is opening. Gangsta Boo will be in town the night before, opening for the last night of the Run the Jewels Tour. Where's DJ Paul at?

hey, how lucky can one man get.
Concert ticket said 8:00 start. At 8:05 he walked out, picked up his microphone and started to sing. He put it down at 10:15. The local music critic compared him to the cool guy that owns a jazz club. No banter, no "come on and sing along" BS just magic. It was a night to remember and probably the last opportunity I'll have to see him since we are both old farts.

Los Lobos this week; 40th Anniversary of "The Last Waltz" with Warren Haynes, Don Was and Jamey Johnson next week; just got tix for Dead & Co. and TT over the summer.
I just got two second row, dead center tickets for Jean-Michel Jarre on May 18th. I have wanted to see one of his concerts since 1978.

Joshua Tree in Barcelona this summer outdoors at the '92 Olympic Stadium. Ticketmaster's online sale (monopoly) was so terrible I had to buy disability tickets so my wife or I will have to be unable to walk down stairs by July. That's fine as most days I struggle to walk down stairs after big rides. Psyched about the show but can't believe Ticketbastard is still calling the shots. Their system was unable to handle the volume and crashed all morning so it was quite a slog to fight through. But the disabled tickets sold out in succession right after the price tiers before it so I wasn't alone in purchasing as a last resort. I snagged tickets early on but the system wasn't able to process my payment which is frustrating when you're given seat numbers on one page then advance to the payment page only for it to freeze and you have to virtual queue all over again.
I'll be at the Palace too.
Just got tickets today to see Brian Wilson to do Pet Sounds.
