Jason there was some talk on WUS in the dive watch forum about them. I didn't read much of it but the reviews were favorable I recall.

I've been very happy with my latest watch. I'll experiment with a Nato strap over the winter and see how I like it.

Just got 2 new Maratac's for the MKII - gray nato (work), and a proper Bond (Sabbath strap)

None of mine. I'll take a couple though.

I don't know much about watches, much less timepieces. But I do know that I got a 656 a few years ago and it kills. I like it much better on the military strap than that frechin bracelet thing.

Doesn't matter what you call it, that's a keeper.

Ah, I see. I ended up with the beige one, but I'm happy with it. I put it on a darker Martec band to contrast the face.

I wore it bird hunting forty days this fall without a hitch. For a watch that is only a little more than a Timex, I'm impressed.

My wife has one of those with the green (looks black) face on a gray Maratac.

Damn thing is impressive - $50 auto that's running solid at +2 seconds/day!

Old cheap watch died and I came directly to this thread. Has anyone tried the Maratac? The midsize pilot looks very good to my uneducated eye.

Ordered one as a birthday present to myself. Should be here Wednesday. Even though I'm a big dude, I don't like a mega-huge watch, so these 45mm+ bodies are kind of lost on me. My main watch is a B&M Capeland automatic, but it was a wedding present fromy wife so I try not to bike, pound nails, mix cement, etc. with it on. The Maratac mid-sue has almost the same exact dimensions...we'll see!

My remaining functional watch is a dressy Raymond Weil that my wife got me. Not an everyday watch at all. Looking forward to your opinion on the Maratac.

Just found this thread and recently got an Orient Mako in orange. Love the feel of it on my wrist with a NATO strap and the fact that it feels dynamic with my movement. Plus the second hand is mesmerizing.
It's the perfect watch for me because anything with a battery would sit around dead for a few months until I finally got around to taking it to the store for a new one.
Beer, it's part of a good breakfast.

Pic is Buzz, correct? Was the watch an Apollo-only issue?
