Where’s the sideways spiral from step 1? The “just the seiko and then off track into watch band collecting and questioning whether a watch really can be worn over the sleeve” spiral?

Only one human can wear a watch over the sleeve, and he recently died and took his black APRO with him, so that's no longer an option. The rest of us are out of luck.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
I don't get it. How is the watch industry any more full of shit than any other consumer goods market?
Feels like rare mantle clocks and other artisan timekeepers might live between 8 and 9. One more stage of expensive denial.

Strong want. I love orange dial divers.
Strong want (but I wish it had a black -and not blue- bezel insert)
Why are there no "Amateur" Edition watches ?
figured i would share this one here, just arrived a few days ago. i have been chasing this particular one for years and finally decided to pull the trigger. i love it.
(also - my amateur picture does not do the dial color any justice. it's quite vibrant.)
This guy is probably the bad ass who made this fashionable before Lagerfeld

I've managed to get a few light scratches on my Citizen posted earlier in the short time I've had it. It has a mineral crystal. So in the search for a similar watch with a sapphire crystal...I decided I really want a perpetual calendar too. Radio sync to atomic time would be a nice bonus as well. This Casio Oceanus is alllllmost perfect, gets rave reviews, but it uses a proprietary bracelet, which is a deal breaker.
So I'm pretty sure I'm going to order one of these. Sapphire crystal. Perpetual calendar. Not too big size (41mm). Solar powered. Titanium case. Simple uncluttered dial (really rare on perpetual calendar watches as it turns out). No proprietary bracelet (I'll almost certainly put it on a NATO strap). It's a Japanese-only model, so while it does have radio sync, it only works with the signal in Japan. You can manually set the time however, and there's also a radio signal simulator app that seems to work pretty well based on what I've read.
Question is, black face/bezel or green face w/silver bezel? I think I'm leaning towards the green. Both go for around $500, with the green-faced model being a little less expensive generally.

if scratched watches bug you, you may want to re-think a ti watch. they show scratches like a mofo.
Can't wait for my Hamtun Kraken H2 Ti to show up so I can beat the heck out of it which will result in some scratches/character.
