Not amazing but this is not the type of bike or tire size that is a do-all bike. I would say ride your road bike if it is too muddy:)

Rode this morning with a friend on the 29+ and it did not seem to be slowing him down any!

Every now and then something special happens in your favor. Here is 285 ft. of Anco-Tech tubing that I use for seat stays on the titanium mtb's. This stuff is like gold. They have been out of business for 10 years and still today this is said to be the best of the best titanium ever produced into tubing. I am excited to have this and will enjoy ever time I bend a set of seat stays and then weld them.

My mission is to remove as many nasty chemicals from my life. This sucker will help remove Acetone and will produce about the cleanest tubes one could ask for to weld. Very excited about it.

Next purchase is rather lame. I want a horizontal bandsaw so I can cut thick stuff and solid without blasting another cold saw blade that just came back from Scotchman. Actually going to buy Mark Norstad's back up machine. One of these posts will however be a CNC machine. That will be the one that is a game changer (the biggest change being I need to learn how to run it!). That one might require a forklift purchase along with it.

Some of the work involved with making bikes is really true grunt work. Here you can see a frame halfway through the finish process. It gets blasted to give it a consistent finish, then buffed with three different scotch brites and cleaned with a degreaser in a soak tank. After de-greasing it gets decals applied and then waxed. All in all it is a filthy process that requires a respirator the entire time which is essentially a full day. Fun stuff.

Holy crap that is crazy. 2014 since last post. Apparently he liked my rant about hooded drop outs. James is moving on so it was nice to see him finish this article from the spring.

Well it appears every two years I need to bump this thread back from the dead. I have been working on adding small parts to my offerings to the general public. About 3 years ago now with some outside help we developed this seat collar to deal with what I felt was a neglected part. It is now available in a rainbow of colors but only one size. It is made for 34.9mm (35mm) frames and allows up to a 31.6mm seat post.
