SRAM "invented" narrow wide rings (the latest version anyhow for use with 1x systems) with their XX MTB group.

I saw Nate's pink bike while he was building it around the same time as mine. Like the Bike Radar article suggests, the pictures don't begin to capture the beauty of the actual bike.
