GO!
No entrada permitted right now, since they are finishing the floors now. My wife snuck a picture through the back door.

Starting to see what it will look like ...
Floors get re-done in December when we are away.
Just a comment. These guys who lay floors are freaking animals.

GO!
I went into work early today so I could bail and receive shipment of the undercounter beverage fridge. It's a factory second Perlick (half price, with no noticeable defects) that's apparently made out of depleted uranium. My back is screaming now.

we'll remodel in about six months. this is the "feel" of what i'll be going for. while i love to be in the kitchen, i want it to look like a place where serious work is done, and to actually be a place where it can get done! while i'm no chef, i do really enjoy preparing food and cooking. i like everything about it, the planning, choosing, buying, preparing and cooking. i'm not much on the serving though: i'm ok, in fact it still makes the most sense to me, to serve right out of the pot. i've got to work on that.
Bking, that is quite a kitchen. You dig stainless and lots of stove top space eh?

I'm buying futures in barkeeper's friend looking at all that stainless.
i do like commercial looking equipment even in the home. i've got viking stuff now in stainless inside and i like it, but don't think i'll go with them when we remodel. some of the commercial equipment folks now have residential lines that are a bit more refined then their pure commercial, yet still put out higher heat and capacity in range tops, ovens etc. i built an outdoor kitchen, part of which you see hidden behind that old bike here: P1010272-L.jpg, and i love the built in sink and drawers that are one piece and lift out for easy cleaning. so, bringing some of that indoors is what i hope to shoot for.
Low and behold there was light.
This morning we made full use of a Sharpie to sketch out the island and decided lights go here >>>>>

Getting closer! The appliances go in on Friday.

Countertops went on today. That section on the island, from front to back is 63".
Ovens, and cooktop go in tomorrow morning.
Fridge cooler drawer and dishwasher go in Friday (I hope).
Plumbers are installing the RO and filter system on Friday.
The top cabinets are made for TT. My wife is 5'1". I am still not sure what she was thinking with those.
Nice. I like your sink. My wife was dead set on a non-radiused single basin sink, so we compromised and got a non-radiused single basin sink.
Getting close to useable ......
Appliances are in! Exclamation point for me, because I'm excited. Sorry for the orientation on some of these.
Obligatory sink shot.
