Free State's been a great supporter of local cycling, too. Another successful bike/beer relationship.

It is normally a positive when the word "free" is used in association with beer.

It is a very fine Brewery and has worked hard to establish itself beyond a local and even regional presence.
They have done some collaboration brews with Deschutes that are mind blowing good.
They have had 2(3) major missteps. Lunar Ale(undrinkable) and the Limited release the past 2 years of their Chocolate Ale (Christopher Elbow, Chocolatier) the third, IMO was going away from a twist top.
Bully! Porter is always a favorite.
I was a beta taster for their Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale. Very refreshing.

Luckily by moving to Chicago next week I won't have trouble finding BLVD offerings.
Yes, Lunar sucks it hard. Oddly you're the only other local I've heard mention so. Sixth Glass was tough to stomach for me as well - but have enjoyed all other Smokestack series. Well done on Tank 7 - my favorite. I bought some 80 Acre because I'm a sucker for narrow front Farmalls, but decided I'd rather drink my wheat or pales separately. Anxious to taste what the coffee collaboration brings.

Well, Kemosaabo, if you spent all your time with guys and had taken a vow of celibacy, what else would there be???
Wouldn't you want to devote your spare time to making a great brew???
(Besides, at the time most of those cats started brewing, bikes wouldn't be invented for several hundred years!)

Also, beer was much safer to drink than water.

    If y'ain'tfrom'roundhere, it'll be illuminating.

    Sorry for the thread drift.
That looks like some good riding. Much like people from there would ask me if they'll get shot in Brooklyn, how do lycra and shaved legs go over in southern Appalachia?

Riding my non-programmable single-speed to Founders tonight to carouse with a bunch of misfit mountain bikers and freeze and then drink and then ride home. Supporting the local drinking economy.

the main trick is don't act like you think you are better or smarter because you are from somewhere else. keep your mouth shut and smile and wave...if you can't blend.
