I just got a Yeti cup - been wanting a decent thermos for a while because I have a habit of finding cold coffee a while later.

My wife got me one for Christmas but it was totally ridiculous - holds nearly a litre.

This one is 10oz - so more like 300ml which suits what I drink. Put tea in it the other night when I was working in the garage - forgot about it and a couple of hours later it was still “a bit too hot”.

It’s also orange so easy to find on the workbench!

As a cretin, when I'm at home, I use a drip brewer. As soon as it's done, I pour the coffee into my Stanley thermos. I'm the only coffee drinker in the house so I only make 32 oz at a time. I do a 50/50 blend of decaf and regular. I like the taste of coffee more than the effects.

In the travel trailer, we have a glass kettle so I either use Starbucks instant or my French Press.

My wife likes the high volume hydro flasks with twist-on lids. I don’t like that much at a time. My favorite is a 12 oz insulated camping cup with a handle and a press-on lid. Minimal maintenance, just the right amount to drink between pit stops, and you might as well refill since you’re already up.

Yah think that's ridiculous? Zojirushi coffee thermos is so ridiculously efficient that hot coffee is still hot coffee 24 hrs. later and they are not overpriced like the Yeti stuff...that I like.

Yeah, I think I bought my dad one of those as a gift once - after seeing someone on here recommend them.

I wanted something a bit more coffee cup like. Apparently this one does 12 hours - I keep meaning to make something in the evening and then try it in the morning.

A couple of hours will probably do me though!

Edit: and I knew there was a reason I chose the one I did - dishwasher safe is a deal breaker for my wife.

speaking of Yeti, their little shooter ceramic lined espresso cups are pretty nice, all things considered. not Inker level, but definitely wouldn't hesitate to buy more.

I used Stanley thermos mugs for years- the hammered green finish reminded me of my Pop Pop’s thermos when he worked for NJ Bell. But the flip top lids lasted about two months before they’d snap. Credit to Stanley in that they’d send you a new one no questions asked but still wasteful. Switched to the Yeti 20oz tumbler and they keep hot/cold way better.

Also have a nice Miir 32oz thermos that’ll keep ice intact for a solid 24+ hours with the flip top lid, and even longer with the included screw on top.
