Long time listener, first time caller. I mostly lurk in the frame building section but just saw this part of the forum.
I am designing and building my frame jig now. Will start another tread on that.

Here is my 1986 Play-Mor II camper. It is fiberglass and 13 feet long. I did a frame off restoration on it. I can post more pics if there are interest of the restoration.

That is molto fantastic!

I think the small, fiberglass campers made in, or made like, the ones that were common back in the '70s & '80s are great. Relatively inexpensive, easy to store & tow, tick all the necessary boxes.

I made a teardrop some years ago; pretty neat but trailers like yours offer a lot more bang for the buck.

Looks like a really nice and compact setup. I would just be a bit nervous at times at leaving the bikes outside but I guess you really don't want to leave them inside when dirty and you should hear any potential thieve tinkering with your locks during the night.

I do lock them to the rack on the car with an additional cable lock. Really keeps an honest person honest. With all the new battery grinders out there if they have time and opportunity your stuff is gone.

It's been days...you gonna just leave us hanging? That camper is super cool and I (we) would love to see more. Welcome to the forum, by the way, glad to have you jump in. Especially with cool posts like this.

Fabric was purchased in Brazil probably 3 years ago. I loved it when I saw it. Saved for this build

Yes, I was all done in a residential garage or outside. Its not perfect put its a 35 year old camper not a show car so I am very please.

Next is my frame jig. Ordered the 8020 today. Will make a thread with the progress and help with ideas.

very cool work.

sadly, so many campers are left to sit and rot to death. it's great when someone will admit reality and pass them on to a new owner who will breathe some new life into them. good little home on wheels.

Funny thing is that I left a note i the owner’s mailbox and he called said he was going to restore it and not for sale. 2 years later he calls back and said he is moving and np room at the next place. I picked it up the next day. I still tak to him and send pictures of the progress and now finished camper

making things well is admirable, but there is also something special about restoring something that has been neglected, as you have. waste bothers me. im sure the camper is happy to have a second lease on life.
