    Default Pink.

It's a simple black alloy frame less than a year old.
It already has scratches and the like.
I will change the cables and housing sometime around 8000 miles.
    The wheels are nothing special.

    ----

I see much less "ironic" (better word is sarcastic) pink these days. Does that mean the fad is dead?

Can I put a pink antares on my bike now? Can I put pink Microtex under my hands too?

Do I have to wait a bit longer?

    ----

I don't wear tight pants. It takes 3 weeks to grow a decent amount of facial hair. I don't wear glasses. I am not living off of a trust fund. I don't have a fixed gear. I don't have a tattoo of a moustache on my finger.

You say this to a tight pant-wearing, bearded, post-punk drummer/butler living in Brooklyn? Where are your manners?

Pink is either a reversed (gasp-ironic) statement of machismo or an homage to The Giro. Either way, don't do it unless you have the legs to back it up.

There was no dis-respect intended. Instead I meant to say that my overall style is not one that can pull something off that's ironic/sarcastic.

The legs can't back it up at the moment so . . . I will opt for black or silver.

    Thank you

I didn't think so. I was mostly making fun of myself with that statement. Should've added a winky thing.

Once the legs are there, you could opt for so, SO many colors. Why stop at pink?

I hope I'm not being taken too seriously in this sub-forum. I didn't volunteer for this gig, I was asked. In other words, i didn't think I should have my own section on this site where I dictated rules and behavior. And I'm not so egorrific to confuse my opinion with fact.

The honest answer, its your bike. You have to ride it. If you want pink, do pink.

This is one of the hottest bikes I've ever seen in person, and I've had the good fortune to throw a leg over it and take it for a spin.

The dude who rides it is no slouch, either.

Tommy - blow it out man. There's some Chris King Pretty in Pink hubs laced up to some Kinlin tubular rims over there in the classifieds for a song...

It's just a color. The first time I showed up with purple bartape my buddies made some stupid jokes. Whatever. 3 1/2 years later it's still my daily rider and still has the purple tape.

    GO!

A pink max bike would be hot. Having been the owner of a pink bike I can tell you it has to be done right. It's very easy to make it bad, very bad.
