Ugh, hated Karen O when I saw her back in 02, because she sounded like a strangled dog trying to sing.
Luckily by 03 in Nottingham she got her act together, so it was a little easier to love her.

Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds. Their music is incredible, her voice is ridiculously powerful, and they are some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
And all of that is gravy once you see them in person. Total fistfight-inducing lust. It's pretty amusing to watch entire rooms full of men aged 12 to 90 have the same thought simultaneously.
