We have a local weather nerd website focused on the Hudson Valley. As the pilots here likely know, the Hudson Valley has its own weather to some degree that is difficult to predict for a lot of reasons, not least of which is a large river running between two mountain ranges within shooting distance of an ocean. And that's on a regular day. Today the guys at Hudson Valley Weather have switched to what they like to call "now-casting" - which basically means the various intersecting fronts and atmospheric layers have reach a point where many things are possible. It's like infinity x100 man.
Anyway, today seems particularly special. This was weather radar from about 10AM.

Here's what the local weather guys posted.
It is better than television. I'm just hoping we don't lose more trees. The snow out there now is heavy as oatmeal.
