I TIG my frames and for the past few years I've been attaching my bottle bosses + cable stops using silver. It works fine. The only complaint I have is soaking the frame afterward.

However, I kind've have the desire to go all TIG. I'm wondering if it's worth going down this path or am I just asking for trouble?

For bottle bosses, I imagine that creating hole and a small HAZ in the thinnest part of the tube might create issues compared to a wider (and cooler) HAZ with OA.

I seem to remember several ti framebuilders using rivnuts for this reason. Maybe I'm mis-remembering?
