    Default Some of my leather.

I did sheaths for expensive knives for a few decades. In the past 5 years I haven't done much at all. Then last winter I did a watch band for both my son and myself. Here are some pics. All hand done - stitching, edge polishing etcetera. All my sheaths are suede lined and the watchbands are smooth leather lined. Buckle - titanium. Knife titanium too - a Chris Reeve Sebenza.

    Thanks for the kind comment.

Really? Of course CR makes nice stuff. For the last two years of my sheathmaking I specialized solely in sheaths for CK knives.

Very sweet handiwork, indeed! Sebenzas are true classics.
Benchmade, Microtech, and Busse knives are often with me.

Absolutely. That knife is nearly indestructible, easy to sharpen and the lock is brilliant. Now that you mention this maybe I do recall seeing your work on some CR websites.
What I like most about your sheath / clip is the "no messin' around" clip but you know that ;) I'll admit to owning one "fancy" knife however it was made for me as a favor and I use it so nobody has to know it's one of THOSE knives yuck yuck. It bugs me some when handmakers reputations are elevated to a level that their goods are collected and not used the items become a commodity which is the antithesis of what many of these makers intended and polar opposite of what they orig. made the goods for in the first place!!! *This is not a rant.

That watch strap is something else!

Can they be custom made for size?

Thanks Corko. And the answer to your question is yes certainly. But, anticipating a possible next question, the answer is not by me, as I stopped taking custom leather orders long ago.

Corko, when I was researching handmade watchbands I found loads of makers on the 'net who had wonderful websites and they're in the business of selling custom watchbands. Of course none were as good as mine Actually, I didn't find any that were lined on the inside as I did the four that I've made. That stage makes the job much more labor-intensive but much nicer and trick.

Here's a prototype sheath I did for Bark River Knives in MI. They wanted to put it into mass production.

Man, I'd love to have you make me a custom sheath for my Shiva. Nice knife, horrible sheath.
