    Default Life oval chainstays

    Hey ya'll,

Anyone a fan of these? They look pretty tall with a short taper... wondering how they ride compared to typical oval CS's, especially given the thinner walls too...

    Thanks,
    Hansen

I like them on certain bikes. This princess can't feel any difference in how they ride. The shape is more an aesthetic issue than some theoretical advantage.

All I can think when I see them is "turkey baster." That said, they're noticeably lighter than the SFL/zona stays if that's important to you.

Weight isn't really what I was concerned about. Just looking at the shape and wall thicknesses I was wondering if they had more lateral flex and less vertical, which seems like the opposite of what one would want in a chainstay...
