    Default Mars?

I am not a fan of network telly. Sports, some clever mini-series, to me great entertainment. Reality based shows such as those publicized by the recently departed mr springer have shown 'merica that bad behavior is acceptable. My oh my how I miss role models that embodied values and humility. Carry on...

All the personality types you would not want on a Mars Mission.

Adaptability, resilience, teamwork, cooperation, self-motivation, curiosity, communication, versus drama-seeking, attention-seeking, over-confidence, competitiveness

Mr. Springer was once mayor of my home town, Cincinnati, OH.
IIRC he was booted for paying an escort with personal check.
These days he could have run for President or Prime Minister.

Aside, saw BoJo at the Coronation, in the good days
the King would have chucked him in the Tower as part
    of Coronation Celebration.

We spend the summers in Wyoming. Even though she is from there, I have been unable to convince my wife that we should make it our home. Our property is in a small community (around 4700) that has an agricultural economy that produces sugar beets and barley along with other food crops. The people are wonderful with a great mix of cultures from SE Asia, India, Native, and the descendants of the original settlers who built the irrigation systems. The high school has an 89% graduation rate and the state spends well above the national average per student.

Before I slip into a Pepperidge Farm infomercial, a lot of my memories of growing up in the 60s and 70s were formed while working on the farm. Everyone worked hard, but not everyone was equally rewarded. There were two sides of the tracks. In Wyoming and the rest of the west, idyllic life was the result of displacing the original inhabitants. This year, I'll present a paper at a history conference concerning the sovereignty of the Crow people who were squeezed into smaller and smaller reservations.

Sorry if I'm a debbie-downer, but as a historian, I try to keep things in perspective.
