    Default Food diary

It is remarkable how I've kept something like a training diary for years and the concept of a food diary completely escaped me. Into last fall after a really poor summer season for riding I found myself really annoyed at how slow I went up hills and anywhere in general. So I started tracking what I ate and was appalled at how much there was of it. I figure I can't get the fat out of my arteries but I can get it off my body. I guess after 57 years I could see what this whole self discipline thing is about. It was funny, last time I saw my doc we commiserated about not being able to get away with what we used to.

Two and a half weeks in and you know, it works. Document it and you can't run away from it.

Obvious, I know. I laugh at how slow I am to grasp things sometimes.

It is amazing and I recommend it to everyone. I wish there was an app for it that I liked but the all get pretty annoying to me.

Dear Diary, I keep eating cereal at 10p - it's delicious, and I can't stop...
