    Default Kask Vertigo Helmets

I had a good run with Giro now it's over and Kask Vertigo is in the house.

What I really like is that it says "Made in Italy" on the leather chin strap the rest is history.

It does have one he!!a good adjusting system and the entire thing sits very low on your head.

Looking good on the bike is pretty important in the grand scheme of things.

Yes, sir, but I wouldn't mind being wrong. Unless you work for a tree trimmer, Kask helmets are basically non-existent up here in the Great Lakes State.

Realcyclist.com has many many models online for sale as well if you can't find them at your LBS.

I've got about 20 rides in and I noted that Darren also is wearing one. This is the best helmet I've ever owned. No complaints.
I'm beginning to appreciate that it is overpriced and good looking too.

Even the Mojito (2 levels down IIRC) looks pretty damn good.
The special lady friend is rocking the Vertigo and she loves it something fierce.

Anyone with a large melon using the Kask helmets? How do they fit? I wear a 7 5/8+ hat, so I've been doomed to wear nothing but Bell. Please give me some good news . . .

Good news. Hit it. IIRC they do list hat sizes for the large.

TT, what other brands have you worn?

I have a big melon and had good look with Bell and Las (Squalo currently).

I love the way that the Kask looks, but unfortunately the fit isn't right for me. Same with Bell helmets, although interestingly the LAS Squalo fits. I'm actually a fan of the new Mavic helmet, which sits lower than the Squalo.

We used Giro for many moons and they are pretty darn good. The fit is even better with Kask.

I tried a Kask Vertigo and loved the fit but couldn't get it to work with my glasses. Something with the shape of my head and the length of the oakley arms and they wouldn't stay put. May be worth another try as I'm not thrilled with any of the other helmets I've tried recently.

I tried it on at CycleLife in DC, but didn't like how it sat on my head. I rock a 7 1/2 in the hats. BillRick, get thee to CycleLife and see!

Those with odd head shapes may appreciate the retention system on Lazer helmets. Giro is a no-go for me, and I've never tried a Kask, although I like the look.

I wear a 7 5/8 also and have been using Giro for a while, but Kask is an interesting company. Thanks.

Just took delivery of a Vertigo. Super nice, feels like a luxury product vs. other hats. Nicer materials. I look very slightly less like an asswipe in it vs. my mushroom cap Specialized Prevail.

That is the only thing strange about them. You get used to tucking ends of glasses under the retention system.
They say "Made in ITALY" so I can live with it ;)
