Similar in Fr. Man do I miss that. Any road rules in Rome wrt when it is more or less allowed to order coffee with milk in the drink?

While I too dig the romance and I applaud the Italians for popularizing espresso drinks and spreading them through the Coffee diaspora - The actual quality of coffee in Italy leaves a lot to be desired.

Australia is easily tops the world for this...

No Cappucino after 10am. It's just not done, but maybe that is just Sardinia. If you did order one, you'd get the stinkeye from the barista. Never order decaf if you're man, it's just not done. You get a cup of hot water and the waiter flings a pack of Sanka at you.

I thought the "rule" was no milk-based espresso drinks past noon. Maybe they are more strict on Sardinia?

Probably a Sardi thing. Sardinia is Italy's Puerto Rico.

The smoothest cup of black coffee that I ever had...at an olive farm in Montecchio in the Spring of 2019. It was so damn good that I asked our host Marco, what his secret was. Marco said that he didn’t know...his wife buys the coffee from a gent in town who trades with them for their cured wild boar.

And to make this cycling related, "cinghiale" is Italian for wild boar

I'd love me some wild boar. I think I had it in Berlin last year
