    Default if SSR

I saw one 'in the flesh' just yesterday. While I know people seem very polarized over stainless and it's cost/benefit I thought it was very very wicked and I want one. One of the few bikes that i've felt lusty for lately.

I find myself day dreaming about what to dump in order to 'justify' it.

me to darling wife: "BUT I JUST SOLD SOMETHING!! I NEED THIS!!"

i am a campy guy, for sure... but i'm not anti shimano.
but there were things about 7800 i didn't like,
mostly the shifters being far too light action,
and the ridiculous giant knobs on the ends of the hoods.

the cables under the tape looks so much better too...

    darren,
while sachs is away i am supposed to test the frame he sold you. i believe it is defective and it needs testing right away. he thinks it could explode if you put enough power into the pedals.
send to me now. i will pay a portion of the freight bill and return it after it has been fully tested and deemed safe.
sincerely and sorry for the inconvenience,
    sp

while it is away you can feel free to go to climbs house and borrow his pegoretti. be sure to wait until he goes to work and look for the key under the flower pot...throw a blanket over the bike when you drive away and dont post any photos of it online anywhere.

I got the 38mm clinchers under me. They are the bee's knees. I can't think of any other clincher set I want to put on that bike.

Best chain lube out there. I'm usually a fanatic about keeping the drive line clean and quiet. Stuff seems to work better than any other product I've used.

I dunno, but the jerk has been touting the Conti Stehers, so I ordered a few over the weekend and hope to have them delivered, mounted, and on-the-road by next week. If they're all that, at 50 bucks per tire retail, I'll be pretty well psyched.

Ligero hubs. Smoothest hubs I have ever ridden.

Specialized BG boa shoes, quite comfortable.

Voler bibs and shorts. The pad is nice and thin and everywhere it needs to be. I don't like to pay Assos (or even half-Assos) prices and with these I don't have to.

Bouré lightweight wool socks. Yes, even in July. As Grant might say these are OOT-standing.
