New Project: Range Rover Classic
Just picked 'er up. Very sound mechanically, little rust. Planning to outfit the interior for camping/trips. Will be a fun project.

Awesome. I love those.
I’m half on the lookout for the next generation newer than that one.

Instead of the usual zebra stripes, try LRDG pink.
Easy to find in the parking lot.

I see a two-door around here occasionally, quite eye-catching. Love that generation.

Slowly crossing off the to-do list on it. Should be trip-worthy by summer.

Are you going to keep the lift or return it to gentleman farmer height?

Good question! I have gone back and forth, but I think at some point this summer I'll bring it down to a more reasonable height. I'm thinking 2-4 inch neighborhood. The current 6 inch lift is fun but I don't plan to beat on this thing enough to need it.

Honestly it looks unsafe at that height. I would hate to need to make evasive maneuvers at speed the way it sits now.

Re: New Project: Range Rover Classic
It's surprisingly stable! I drove it 265mi on the highway from Chicago to northern WI without trouble. I mean, you're driving a rectangle so wind is something to consider but it didn't cause any stress. It just looks like I have monster madness and want to Bigfoot all the cars in whatever parking lot I'm in.
