Can’t speak to Chubb, but I’ve had Amica for most of my adult life for both home and auto and they have been fantastic in terms of customer service. Not the cheapest; in fact one of the most expensive! But never any hassle on the multiple times I’ve had to use the auto policy coverage. The one time I used the home policy, they were equally as responsive and hassle-free.
My knowledge is old, but part of my first job out of law school in the mid-late 90's was insurance defense, and Chubb really went the distance for their insureds. First class service.
+1 on Amica. Unfortunately have much experience with homeowner claims, and now one of my kids does too. They have always been a pleasure to deal with.
We gave Geico the boot 30+ years ago when they were caught paying employees to write congress as “private” citizens to support views held by the company. Prior to that we had some not-so-good experiences.
Happy to have found Amica!

I like GEICO but they're not an option for me on Home Owners . Don't want to turn this into a GEICO discussion but they don't underwrite policies for home owners but merely act as a broker. I called them up and they giving me a Travelers quote. Unlike auto and umbrella they don't underwrite the risk
Another Amica customer here. Never had Geico but decided I never will after it came to light back in the 80's & 90's they were giving police departments free radar guns to trap speeders. Speeding tickets = higher insurance rates. Not really the conduct I wanted my insurance company to be exhibiting. Plus, I tend to shy away from companies that bombard the public with almost nonstop advertising in all forms of media.
called Amica. Even more expensive than Chubb!
