Letting my inner e-RICHIE out :-) :

I've been wicked wicked busy doing work / building for others lately hence the lack of FNL and VS posts but here's a beauty / fatty that I've been planning for a while. I had some DTs custom draw for me by the kind folks at Columbus. With a mix of thin and thick walled tubes, she should be very stiff and yet very respectable at 4 lbs 1oz... but I do still have to add paint and a couple braze ons.

Spent my free time on tooling this week since I ordered the wrong Seatstays...
Getting my Bringheli really dialed in.
Modified my BB cups, I wanted something that would NOT interfere with chainstay miters. This allows me to bust the miters out on the bench grinder super fast and check for fitment without pulling the bike out of the jig.
Loosing my hex key was getting real annoying so I added Adjustable Handles, I made the custom spacers to make them easier to use.
I also milled my TT support plate to account for my newly mounted scale.
Then Finally I made some BB Vice Cups for a fellow Telai-ista. This will allow him to hold a BB in the vice so he can carve and work on the sockets. He wanted it made from aluminum to act as a soft jaw. The shoulders are to prevent the BB from falling out of the vice if its loosened for re-positioning.
Thanks -Todd.

Finish sanding.jpg
Sand, sand, coat, bake, start again.
3 coats of finish epoxy and two of 2k polyurethane.

Once the final coat is on, 320 -> 400 -> 600 -> 800 -> 1200 -> Tripoli powder -> metal polish. There has to be a better way.
