Default Blondies Brownies and Crispy Cookies go here

If you can make blondies from memory you will be a instant hero several times over. Invited to stay at friends house for a few days and need to stretch that to Sunday??? Make these, trust me. Do NOT overbake, they should be a little gooey.

    - .5 lb unsalted butter (don't sweat it just cut back on salt otherwise)
    - 1 c. light brown sugar (no dark brown pls)
    - vanilla
    - AP flour
    - .5 cup white sugar
    - baking soda
    - kosher salt
    - way too much VERY good chocolate. Break this up with a 10" chef knife into pieces 1/8" or cheese out and buy chunks.
    - no nuts please

    Bake EXACTLY 30 min. at 350 F.

Cream together room temp butter, sugar(s), vanilla for about 4 mins. fairly fast speed in mixer.
Add eggs, salt, vanilla, baking soda, ap flour with mixer on low

Fold into std. 8X12 pan and bake.

These are the hot-diggity, thin, lacy crispiness.

Sub dried cranberries for the chips and pure almond extract for vanilla for an interesting variant.

These usually last about 5 minutes after they hit the table at a gathering.
