    Default Fj 1200

Just came across these pics, 1992 Yamaha FJ1200, liked it best of the few motorcycles I've owned. Big old sports tourer type, not a rocket but pretty fast considering 625 lbs +- , lots of torque, very comfy for a big guy like me. I bought it from the original owner with just under 5000 miles, rode it for about 10yrs, sold it 5yrs ago after crashing, a car pulled out from a parking lot in front of me barely missing me, car kept on going, never saw me, I fell trying to avoid it, fortunately low speed and only road rash. I really wasn't riding much at the time, decided to sell it as I had just turned 70, decided the risk outweighed the pleasure, really liked that bike though!

That's heavier than I would have thought! I do like the 90's graphics package, although I tend to think Yamaha should not stray from the speed blocks.

That's the stated wet weight in the specs, having to get it up from the road will make you a believer.

Had one in the classic red and white-an 1100. Great versatile bikes. Brakes somewhat lacking, added later sportbike yammy brakes with homebuilt adapter plates. Only other upgrade was a Sargeant seat. Miss that old girl.
