it's the piece on the right........*correct me if i'm wrong* it's a "plug" to downsize a big seattube to a useable seatpost size. it will be welded in ala moots......i'm also guessing the slot isn't slotted all the way to avoid distortion either when a binder is attached, for reaming - so the tool doesn't hang up - OR, both. Steve.

Matched set. Seat post insert for steel bikes. 31.7 OD with a 28.6 ID plus matching reducer to take it to 27.2 if folks want. Reducer will be ano'd black on the finished product. Drilled & slotted to be as perfect as imperfection will allow. The bridge on the end gets removed after the joinery and reaming/honing.

****oh yeah - only one pic per week, per builder, on friday ONLY.**** sort of a pre-weekend visual goodie for us all. tools, jigs & fixtures are acceptable and extremly welcome, as are Q & A. also acceptable is anything else you *self-fabricated, with or without machine tools,* as i know we have craftsmen/women here doing other cool things too, and i'd like to see that stuff..........bitchin'! Steve.

    Both, but I'm that way.

You're batting a thousand today. If the shoulder needs to be thicker for other tubes, it can be turned off and resized.

what does everyone think? we could make this a cool feature if we iron out some basic guidelines. fun shit like this is why this part of the forum was created, right? i'll go along either way.....if we decide no chat feel free to delete my non-pic posts and we'll run it that way.....Steve.

    doode it's your thread.
    what you want atmo?

    pics?
pics with a line of text?
pics with folks chattin' about posts that have comments about pics?
    pics of just red heads?
pics of red heads and one line of text?
posts about red heads "i have known..."

    it's all good.

share the knowledge and offer us a wee peak at your methods.
