I think my favourite Connery film is "The Man Who Would Be King" where he stars with Michael Caine.
Connery was a milkman when he was young and there’s a running joke in Edinburgh that if he actually delivered milk to everyone who later eventually claimed they were on his route, it’d have been mostly sour cream by the end of his run.
The New Yorker has a good piece on his film career.
I've always been a fan, I mean- he WAS Bond, James Bond.
The Hill is a gem of a movie, and really liked Robin and Marian from the 70s.
Whatever makes a movie star, he certainly had "it" in spades.
